I just sat at my desk for 24 hours watching a mixed set of race cars tearing it up.
I was only loosely familiar with Le Mans — I knew phrases like “24 hour race” and “streets of France” — but not much more. My interest was piqued, my schedule was pretty open, so about two hours before the start I began a little research to become a more intelligent consumer. I could have spent 24 days.
Holy crap that was great. I might have caught 20 of the 24 hours with one screen rotating through pirated broadcast coverage, one screen researching whatever obscure engine reference or race disappointment the announcers just mentioned, and one screen rocking a four-split on car cams. Holy crap that was great.

I’m putting it on my 2022 “must list” to go for the race, stay for the party.
