I’m nine months into Arizona and it can not become any more than a weigh station of transition. I feel like I have given Phoenix a solid 80% chance to strike a personal chord, but there is no resonance. Maybe it’s me. It doesn’t matter. I must start my dig behind the Rita Hayworth poster and plot my journey to Zihuatanejo. I am slowly becoming the average of the ten people I spend the most time with and I don’t approve of the trajectory. It is time for massive action.
Step 1: a target. I will enroll the Fellas in School in the NY/NJ/CT tri-state for September 2019. For the series of milestones to fall into place to support a big move, I think anything short of 24 months is unrealistic.
Step 2: the move will be accelerated/facilitated by a LIGHTHOUSE partnership (or more) rooted in the tri-state. Novo Nordisk is the world’s largest diabetes company and they just announced an open RFP to supply a digital diabetes program to their patients. I’m going to win that and start the cascade.
Aside from that, I must reclaim my brain, engagement, expression and trajectory on a broad set of fronts and that begins in one minute when I restart my subscription to the NY Times, get my Met membership out of mothballs and tune my guitar.
It has begun.
